Fender Assembly Instructions

Rear Fender
All the parts that you need:

  1. Remove rear wheel completely in order to begin installation.
  2. Assemble fender stays onto fender.


  3. Align fender mounting holes with chain stay junction and seat stay junction holes.


  4. Begin with seat stay mounting. Use the M5x40mm bolt together with the plastic washer and the aluminum spacer, as shown in photo. Tighten the bolt into the seat stay junction thread.


  5. Use the M5x20mm together with the plastic washer and tighten into chain stay junction thread.


  6. Align the right fender stay with fender mounting thread on right rear dropout. Use the M5x10mm flat head bolt to tighten the fender stay into the hole.


  7. Align the left fender stay with fender mounting thread on left rear dropout. Use the M5x10mm flat head bolt to tighten the fender stay into the hole.


  8. Reinstall Wheel.

 

Front Fender

  1. Assemble fender stays onto fender.
  2. Feed fender between tire and fork crown. Use M6x12mm bolt with the plastic washer in the configuration shown in the photo, to tighten the fender to the fork crown thread.


  3. Align right fender stay with right fork dropout fender thread, and use M5x12mm bolt to tighten the fender stay.


  4. Align left fender stay with left fork dropout fender thread, and use M5x12mm bolt to tighten the fender stay. *Be careful to avoid damaging brake caliper and its cable.

    "Remove rear wheel completely in order to begin installation." .. the automated drive train seems not to be very common in the Netherlands. Most of the shops i've contacted have no experience with them. Are there more elaborate guides available on how-to detach and attach the rear-wheel? ..

    So to uninstall the fenders, do you replace the M6x12mm bolts back into the frame?

    @bgale you can take those off if you're not going to use the fender.

    @Freddy Unfortunately, we don't have very specific instructions for removing the rear wheel for the variable speed Valour, yet.

    But for now, once you've dropped the wheel by removing the two rear axle bolts you can try to use the N360 technical manual, specifically step 3 to follow along.
